About Me
I started my Real Estate career in my early 20s after the dreaded National Energy Program caused me to leave the Electrical trade and pursue a new calling. In 1985, after just a short stay with another national real estate firm, I was recruited into RE/MAX. I quickly recognized the power of the RE/MAX brand but more importantly the quality of people they were attracting in the early years in Edmonton and knew right away I should be a part of that.
In the early 90s I decided to expand my expertise beyond residential real estate and into the commercial and industrial fields. I completed the most comprehensive real estate training offered anywhere under the Certified Commercial Investment Member Program (CCIM) and rely heavily on that training and the knowledge it provided in all aspects of my real estate career. In addition to residential real estate, I am actively involved in Industrial and Commercial leasing and sales, land acquisition and redevelopment opportunities as well as income and investment properties. I believe that my 27 years of experience in all aspects of real estate affords my clients a significant advantage and openly share that expertise with clients of all categories.
For years I was active in all sports, but age and injury have left me with just one passion Golf. For 9 years I organized the RE/MAX World Long Drive Championships with my greatest personal satisfaction coming from creating the opportunity for local kids to capture 5 World Long Drive Titles in the Junior Divisons. I am grateful to the handful of other RE/MAX agents who helped us become the #1 Site in North America for 8 consecutive years who dedicated themselves to the cause and I acknowledge that those accomplishments could not have been possible without their help.
I was raised to believe that your word is who you are, and that you honor it at all times. Personal integrity and character are the cornerstones of my beliefs and my business practices and I expect the same from the people I do business with. I have not and never will benefit personally at the expense of someone else, and know that in the long run doing the right thing, even if it means a loss today, will result in far more later on. I dont believe in blowing my own horn and despite the sales awards they send me each year, the greatest reward for me is having a client share my name and refer a friend or family member to me to handle their real estate needs as well. At the end of each transaction I hope that I have established a long lasting trust and friendship with the people I work for that will last for many years to come.
